FAQs

  • We can comfortably host 6-8 guests. We have three guest rooms that each hold a queen bed. We also have two cots with full linens and bedding in the sunroom and a traditional couch(not a sleeper sofa) in the TV room.

  • There are two parking spaces directly in front of the basecamp, each of them have a golden CB painted on the pavement. There is additional street parking also available on East Walnut Street.

  • Yes! We have a stacked washer/dryer that is available for guests and is located in the downstairs bath. We also provide scent free detergent and dryer sheets.

  • We have a HUGE mudroom that should hold most of your adventure gear! We can store bikes, fishing rods, skis, and flat and whitewater kayaks & inflatable boats. If you have any gear that is larger than this reach out and we will do what we can to accomodate!

  • We provide some basic expendible items. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper and hand soap are provided in each bathroom. In the kitchen you will find olive oil, salt and pepper, coffee, cream, sugar and a small selection of snacks. Guests are also provided laundry detergent, dish liquid, dish washer pods, a sponge, garbage bags, paper towels and cleaning spray.

  • No, the Cranberry Basecamp is well stocked with kitchen towels, hand towels, bath towels, wash cloths, and bedding for all advertised sleeping accomodations.

  • While we love pets, we ask that no one bring their animals with them.

Located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountain Range, Richwood is the last stop before arriving in the Gauley Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest. Bordering the Cranberry Wilderness, this is the perfect place to stay to have access to some of the most beautiful back country areas in the state. As you come into town, you will be greeted with a perfect view down Main Street and locally owned businesses such as The Sawmill Saloon, Bloomfield Richwood Gallery, Rosewood Florist & Coffeehouse, Chill Out Grill, The Oakford Diner, and The Oakford Pool Hall.
